The steps in this post will be easy and require little effort on your part. The first thing you want to do is conduct some good keyword research. This is a must when it comes to SEO, but can also be helpful if you’re using any other type of digital marketing strategies such as Google ads or any other PPC marketing.


With keyword research, you’re going to figure out what people are searching for when they come across your site. For example, let’s say you’re a plumber from Virginia Beach and your website is www.virginiabeachplumbers.com.


One of the important keywords that we would recommend targeting would be “Virginia Beach plumbers.” You would then use that search phrase as one of your keywords in the content on your site so that people who searched for that phrase would find your website instead of someone else's.

When writing meta tags, be sure to include a keyword or two that you want to target with your SEO efforts.
